Matteo Nasini (b. 1976, Roma), after graduating from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Roma, was a member of the Luigi Cherubini orchestra directed by Riccardo Muti, from 2003 to 2008. Dur-ing this period he collaborated with various conductors, such as Kurt Masur, Yuri Temirkanov, Ru-dolf Barshai and Krzysztof Penderecki. Over the last decade, the results of Matteo Nasini’s re-search have been shown on various occasions, in public and private institutions.
His most important exhibitions and initiatives include the project Sparkling Matter, presented for the first time in the spaces of Marsèlleria and Clima Gallery, winning the Talent Prize 2016 and then shown inside institutions like the MACRO museum in Roma, the Galleria Nazionale di Roma, the spaces of Marsèlleria in New York; and in 2017, in the exhibition Intuition at Palazzo Fortuny, during the 57th Venice Art Biennale. In 2018, he held a solo show, Neolithic Sunshine, presented at the Centro Arti Visive Pescheria di Pesaro and then at Galleria Clima in Milano. Matteo Nasini has also shown work in many other spaces, including: MANIFESTA13, the MAXXI museum in Roma, the Nomas Foundation, Auditorio Parco della Musica in Roma, Museo Villa Croce in Genova, Villa Romana in Firenze, the Orto Botanico of Palermo, the EDF Foundation - Paris La Défence in Paris, Espace Le Carré - Palais Beaux-Art in Lille, La Panacée and ICC in Montpellier, MRAC in Serignan, Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, Museum of Royal Worcester and in the spaces of Rowing in London.
